Invokana (canagliflozin) was approved by the FDA to treat Type II diabetes by reducing blood glucose levels. It is in a class of drugs known as SGLT2 inhibitors. Unfortunately, so many patients experienced severe personal injuries after taking Invokana that it later received a “black box” warning for amputations and kidney problems.

Manufactured and marketed by Janssen Pharmaceuticals and Johnson & Johnson, Invokana is now the subject of thousands of lawsuits filed by patients. Many of the claims are for pain and suffering, including mental issues following the loss of a limb.

Invokana has been linked to:

  • Leg Amputation
  • Foot Amputation
  • Toe Amputation
  • Kidney Damage
  • Renal Failure
  • Ketoacidosis
  • Diabetic Ketoacidosis
  • Heart Attack
  • Stroke
  • Death
