Taxotere® Lawsuit Attorneys
Breast cancer patients are coming forward and alleging that the chemotherapy drug, Taxotere (Docetaxel), has caused permanent hair loss, a side effect the manufacturer did not clearly disclose.
Taxotere, manufactured by Sanofi-Aventis and sold in the U.S. since 1999, is used to treat patients with advanced or metastasized breast cancer, along with other cancers such as non-small cell lung cancer, prostate cancer, stomach (gastric) cancer and head/neck cancer. Most chemotherapy drugs are known to cause temporary hair loss, with hair slowly growing back after treatment ends.
What Are the Symptoms of Alopecia?
If you received Taxotere while you were being treated for breast cancer and your hair hasn't grown back, you may have a case. Some of the symptoms of alopecia are:
- Lack of eyebrows
- Lack of eyelashes
- Absence of hair anywhere on the body (including underarms and genital region)
